Using your Body to Calm your Mind

Using your Body to Calm your Mind

Using your Body to Calm your Mind

Unlock the power of mind-body connection in this 90-minute workshop led by Gwyneth Hodgins, Registered Social Worker & Psychotherapist. This in-person workshop will be held on April 25th from 6-7:30pm.

Here’s an overview of what will be explored during the workshop:

  • explore the interplay between body and mind,
  • understand how emotions manifest physically,
  • learn about the sympathetic/parasympathetic nervous system dynamics (flight, fight, freeze responses),
  • discover why relying solely on logic may not calm your nervous system when activated.

Engage in hands-on learning with somatic strategies such as rocking, shaking, tapping, grounding, pushing, and breathing techniques. Join the workshop for a comprehensive session with time for questions and discussions to ensure you have the tools you need to calm your mind.
